Archbishops' Letter concerning the General Election

The archbishops of York and Canterbury have addressed a letter to the College of Bishops, describing issues that all Christians need to keep in mind as we go forward to the General Election. It is hoped that everyone will read this letter. Here it is as a PDF, and a link to the Diocesan web site gives another opportunity to download it, as well as an explanation of the need to share it as widely and as soon as possible.

Web site update

The work to update the Keyingham St Nicholas Web Site, so that it appears better on smart phones, is quite close to completion. A beta version can be seen here. Let me know if it doesn't work for you, using the Contact page on either site. If there are not too many problems, I will bring it out of beta and sort them as we go.

Children's Society Boxes

The total raised by our Children's Society boxes in the year 2016-17 came to £339-19. The amount does not include direct donations and other collections. Well done to all! The Children's Society update on round pound coins states that banks have not yet had confirmation that these can be paid in after October, so please avoid putting them in boxes.

Passion Play a Resounding Success

The Deanery Passion Play was performed in Withernsea on Saturday 8th April and in Hedon on Sunday 9th April. It was a resounding success, well attended, and with audiences who responded well, joining in the hymns at some volume. Here are a couple of pictures from Withernsea:
